Innovation Masterclass is an initiative that aims at strengthening the knowledge and innovation capacities of IOM staff, to enhance organization effectiveness and address complex migration challenges. The Masterclass is an intensive crash course on innovation and systems thinking, giving access to intensive workshops, personalized coaching sessions, and a network of like-minded peers and experts. The programme provides the platform to expedite the development of new innovative initiatives, by equipping subscribers to move from identifying a challenge to piloting an impactful solution.

​​​​​​​I was in charge of developing and creating a visual that depicted the essence and the goals of the project. I began with research in order to get more understanding of the concept.

- The solution -
The cornerstone of the sketch was the idea of a harmonic and dynamic system in which all elements are connected but make a progress toward their own path, nourished by the same source.

- Characteristics of the system -
Clear Objectives - Secure Leadership - Strong Network of Mentors and Partners - Comprehensive Resources and Support - Competitive and Collaborative Environment - Continuously Evaluate and Iterate.
The final pattern has been created using Adobe illustrator design tools.
Description of the solution
The pattern describes the step-by-step process to achieving the result of something. (in our case bringing new ideas to life or sharpen an old idea by be part of this program). Aware that the design thinking is an iterative process, the pattern can be read from every side.

- From the center of the pattern ( from doted inner to plain line) :
the idea starts, and then continuously gets more details while keeping consistency and spreads onward for the long term.
Moving forward to the center of the pattern (from plain to doted inner line):
The same concept when we depict the pattern from the outside to the center, but this time the process changes, from many and random ideas to the final one, more elaborated.

The overall aspect of the pattern symbolizes dynamism, networking and continuity. This has been empathized with the over boarding in the final look.
Finally, following the suggestion of the IKM team we introduced leaves spreading to add a touch of real-life growth and incorporate agriculture sector to represent the wide range of sectors covered by the project.
